Henry Smith - the older 1813- 1877

1813. Henry Smith was baptised to Thomas Smith & Mary Page on 12/9/1813 in Yelvertoft Northamptonshire - IGI . No other Smith baptisms found to Thomas & Mary in Yelvertoft . In 1841C, a Thomas & Mary, both 55, he an ag. labourer, are living at Kilsby,~4/5 miles from Yelvertoft, with children Mary, Martha & Sarah 25-14, also 2 likely grandchildren, William & James, 3 & 1. . Cannot find this Thomas or Mary in 1851C. Thomas Smith had married Mary Page in Yelvertoft, just 5 k from Yelvertoft, in 1811.

1838 I suspect Henry Smith married a Mary Ann Jelley 1838, Dec Coventry 16.158

1839. His son, Henry Smith, was likely born Mar 1839 Coventry 16.358, - but could possibly be Dec 1839 Coventry 16.357.

1860. His son, Henry Smith (watchmaker) and Elisa Bacon married 7th August 1860 in Liverpool..

1861C. Henry Smith, 22, watchmaker, b.Coventry, married, boarder, is living alone in Liverpool.

His newly married wife is almost certainly living with her parents -in-law at 1, Hill Street, St Johns, Coventry. This census entry gave me the names of the parents of her husband, Henry Smith, and then I was able to track his family back in 1851C & 1841C .Thus
