1881. 2nd jan.Elizabeth Hollinger married Johann Friedrich Goebel in Stryjski, Austria
1888. Fried Goebel , 48, arrived in Ellis Island, New York on 23/5/1888 with his wife, Elizabeth, 48m and children aged 14, 9, 4, 3 and 1, and maybe 2 others, aged 24 and 18 . The original record hardly legible, but could read Mathias, 2, 1nd Ludwig 4.
1891CC. Cannot find the family in the 1891CC. Maybe still in the US?, but cannot find them there either

1901CC .Frederick Gabel, 56, farmer, Lutheran, born 6/10/1844 in Austria, immigrated 1888, naturalized 1896, could write, was living in Alberta with his wife, Elizabeth, ( her age mistranscribed from born 1846??) and 11 children - surname mistranscribed on FMP!
