The family indeed continue as Schlotthauer in the 1916 and 1921CCs

Obtaining his naturalization document would be good! he would only be 13/14 when he arrived in Canada, so likely, but not certain, that he arrived with his parents
1921CC. On 1 Jun 1921 Henry Schlotzhauer, 30, was living Winnipeg North, Manitoba,. This census says he immigrated in 1902, and has been trancribed by Ancestry as being from Scotland: this word is actually indecipherable and an Ancestry member suggests it might be Saratov, Russia

1934/5 DOES ANYONE KNOW THE DATE? & is it not possible for you to obtain a copy of this m.c??? . Eleanor Freda Schlotthauer/Slater married Fred Dey , . . . . Schlotthauer was seemingly crossed through on the m.c and replaced by Slater: Eleanor was seriously upset when one of her daughters? now apparently NOT Lorraine asked questions about this in 1982, the year her husband Fred Dey died

BUT, this below is a mystery to Chris - as the children were not yet born!! -, on the
1939 US records of Aliens pre examined in Canada. . Children Dorothy R and Lorraine E are mentioned . Eleanor is 5ft 5in, blond hair, ?scar over her right eye? . Will be moving to Portland, Oregon. Record card exists but grossly distorted: can make out a birth date of 27/11/1914, and there seems to be another date of when she arrived in Winnipeg??, 1/1/?? - cannot understand what this could be recording!!
All Chris can think is that the term '1939 US Records' applies to records that started in 1939 or maybe that Eleanor herself had been pre examined i on 1/10/1939?
