~1785. Robert Shimmon was born to parents unknown , likely in Swardeston . Baptism not found on IGI/FS/FMP

Ancestry family Tree has a Robert H Shimmon born ~1820 London- he likely dies 1866 Henstead, a blacksmith, probate : could he be a son of Robert~ 1785??

1800. Edward Rockley Shimmons baptised to a Robert & Margaret, St. Marylebone, Mddx. No other bapt, marrs 1772-1812 on Anc. London records

1818. Harriett Shimman baptised to Robert, labourer, & Mary Shimman in Poplar London -Anc. London baptisms 1813-1906. No others

1813. Robert Shimmon married Sarah Gibbs in Swardeston 5/4/1813- FMP . Swardeston 4 m S of Norwich . Not on IGI & although IGI do hold Swardeston baptism records, there are none for Shimmon - but it is on FS!

~1819 Maria Shimmon is born to Robert & Sarah Shimmon, couch maker - these facts from her 1851m.c.

Other children - from 1841C below - were Sarah~1816, Robert ~1821. and Louisa ~1826. None of these exist on the 213 Baptismal records for Swardeston 1813-1821 that exist on FS . ALSO

1820. Robert Shimmon was buried Swardeston 13/9/1820, aged 35- image in actual parish burial book on FS!, and thus the latest possible birth for any of his children would be 1821.

1825 Samuel Arundale married Sarah Shimmow on 20/6/1825 Norfolk. FMP

1841C . In Swardeston, Norfolk - the siblings of Maria with their remarried mother ,Sarah Arundale .

Who is Sarah Shimmon 1840- no bmd birth. Also Louisa Shimmon must have been born by 1821 if she were a child of Robert & Sarah.

Further detective work:

Louisa Shimmon marries Charles Townshend Henstead Jun 1852 . But she died 1856, so cannot find when she was born- she is not to be found in the 1851C . Nor can I find Robert~1821 in this census nor in 1861C
