Alison Reekie 1782-1835
~1782. Cannot find a baptism for Alison 'Reekie' on SP. BUT
1785. Alison Ritchie was baptised 23/10/1785 Dalkeith to Thomas Ritchie & Margaret Cockburn - this a possibility although slightly too late according to her age at death, and Dalkeith S of Edinburgh, not near Kettle where she married
1803.Alison Reekie married William Lees on 1/12/1803 in Kettle Fife - this some way WNW of Pittenweem. Alison & Andrew Black call their first child Alison Ritchie Black.
1811. Alison Lees was baptised 17/2/1811 in Carnbee, Fife to William & Alison
Children of William & Alison: Ann 1804 in Kettle; Alexander 1806; David 1807; Elizabeth 1809; Alison 1811; Agnes 1812; William 1815; Alexander 1816; Hay 1818; Christian 1821; Margaret 1824. Last 3 in Pittenweem; middle 7 in Carnbee -FS
1835. Alison Lees, 53, thus b. ~1782, wife of William Lees, builder, died 19/11/1835 in Pittenweem. 2 of their children, Alexander & Christian, died in infancy: all this on a Monumental Inscription - FMP Fife, Death Index. No seeming death for Alison Lees 1824-1840 in Fife on SP but her death is indeed available on SP, but no christian name shown!!
There is a William Lees, b. 1777, retired builder in Kirk Latch Pittenweem in 1861C with wife Elizabeth: they also in same place in 1841C - he could be the William Lees who married Elspet Braid in Kembach in 1800. This William also an architect in business in Carnbee & Pittenweem 1833-1835- google search
1862. the above William Lees, 85, dies 18/10/1862 Pittenweem- exact date from FMP Newspapers . He surely the correct William Lees , as Alison Black/Lees is living Kirk Latch by 1871C . So, William Lees ~ 1777-1862
