Jeff is a gt-gt-gt-gdson of Samuel Wauchope (b ca 1820), of Artemesia Township. Grey County, Ontario, Canada. Samuel Wauchope hailed from County Tyrone, Ireland, & on Dec 7, 1846, in the Tyrone Parish of Castledreg & Ardstraw, he married Sarah Brown, on Dec 7th, 1846. They must have left for Canada almost immediately thereafter, since their 1st child, Sarah, was born in 1847 at Vaughan, north of Toronto. They had eight or nine children. We would like to learn the identities of Samuel's parents & grandparents. We believe his father may have been Samuel Wauchop, born in Tyrone in 1802. The IGI record for Sam b 1802, gives the father's name as Daniel Wauchope
~1820 -1826. Samuel Wauchop was born Ireland - County Tyrone from above!.
Maybe? born to Mathew 1800-1823 & Isabella Wauchop. Then back to Samuel 1765 Tyrone & Isabella and then to Andrew Wauchop 1734 Niddrie & Alicia Baird Newbight Eastlothian Scotland 1737-1811 and then to Andrew Wauchop 1710 & Helen Home 1812 - this from Bradley Ancestry tree. No proof , but if it is true, then it was Andrew and Alicia Wauchop who left Scotland for Tyrone probably 1754-1765. Some discrepancies on the places of birth!. But have also read that there were Wauchops in N.I. back in the 17th century

1847. Sanuel & Sarah emigrated to Artemesia - this date from 1861CC.
1848. Their 1st child, Sarah Wauchop, was born Vaughan, Ontario 25/12/1848
