Birth not found, but death certificate suggests born May 1774 .
~ 1774. May Chalmers was born to Alexander Chalmers, post master, & Katherine Anderson (on 11/2/1780 at Muiryhill, Alvah parish, Banff??, but this to a William Chalmers & Katherine Douglas, NOT what her d.c states!!!- Only other poss. birth on SP of a Mary Chalmers born to Alexander, no wife given, is in Abernethy, Perth on 14/4/1780). But Alexander Chalmers marries Katherine Anderson on 19/2/1768 in Bellie: they had Helen 1769 & George 1773 in Bellie - but then did thay move over 200 km to Perth???- I think not . So her birth was simply not registered in Bellie- quite possible
1806. May Chalmers married William Longmore on 4/1/1806 at Rathven, Banff - FMP
1806. William Longmore was born 13/11/1806 to William & May . There was a twin son, Adam, who worked in Edinburgh in the Exchequer Office - dies~1870s. Other children were: George 1809, Katherine 1813 and another son, unnamed 1815-SP
Her husband's father seems to have adopted this son, William

1858 William Longmore ,77, mother Rae, dies Keith- SP, not purchased. No probate- likely before thase records exist
1861C. A May Longmore, 86, is living Keith - SP, but unable to find on FMP/Ancestry!. But there is also a Mary Longmore, 86, living Mid Street, Keith with the Annand family( could Isabella Annand 1807 be a daughter?) -FMP - this surely her, as death cert. then gives her as 87, dying in Mid Street . Ancestry has this Annand family but transcription omits May/Mary!!

1861. May Chalmers Longmore, 87 yrs 5 mths, fund holder, dies 29/10/1861 Keith : seemingly no death on SP ( using different name combinations too!)
BUT. interestingly, there are 2 certs. for a Marjory Chalmers, 87, & a Marjory Longmore, 87, Keith, 1861, both ref. 159/100, both with mother Anderson : this must surely be her . Have now purchased it:-SP. She died 28/10/1861 at Mid Street, Keith, of diarrhoea( as did the next person to die in Keith on 3/11/1861!) . Her parents Alexander Chalmers, post master & Katherine Anderson . She 87 yrs, 5 months - this would give her born in 1773. Informant Wm Longmore, son.
