John Youd 1769-1838

1769. A John Youd was baptised to Thomas, no wife given, on 29/10/1769 in Doddleston, Cheshire - FMP. Could be he - if age on marriage cert. is not 100% accurate . Seemingly no other John Youd baptism in Doddleston 1771/2 . And this John does call his 1st son Thomas in 1802 . And 1838 d.c backs up a birth as early as 1769. So this is He . Only other baptism to Thomas Youd in Doddleston was Helen 1764 . No Youde marriage in Doddleston 1749-1764

1797 m.c. suggests a 1771 birth to Thomas & Ann.

1797. John Youd, 26, son of Thomas & Ann Youd, married Mary Chambers, 18, daughter of Charles & Mary Chambers, Doddleston Cheshire 28/12/1797. Thus John Youd born ~1771. Doddleston ~ 2 m E of Kinnerton, 4 m from Hope

{A Thomas Youd married Anne Anchors in 1749 , both of Harden parish, in the parish of Nannerch - -could get original off FMP parish marriages, no more info. 1728 & 1732 Youd marriages exist for Nannerch. But Nannerch at least 12 m NW of Hawarden & Hope - so unlikely to be the same Thomas & Anne?

Almost certainly a different Thomas & Anne had Thomas 1753 & 1765 , Mary 1756 & Anne 1759 all baptised in Hawarden - maybe there was a later John too? A Thomas Youd born ~1735 is buried in Hawarden in 1816, aged 81 }

John, farmer, & Mary, of Higher Kinnerton, had Anne 1799, Jane & Thomas 1802, Elizabeth 1804, John 1805, Mary 1809, & Priscilla 1810 baptised to them in Doddleston - FMP . Their last child was:

1815. 15/1/1815 Samuel Youde was baptised to John, farmer, & Mary Youde of Higher Kinnerton. Doddleston - FMP. Image available.

1805. http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/SearchUI/Details?uri=D7165833 showed that the National Archives hold a summary of the Administration of John Youd, famer, of Higher Kinnerton in 1805, supposedly! 3 pages - maybe an uncle ?. Obtained it for £3. 36- but was not worth it!

Just 1 line saying John Youd, farmer, of Higher Kinnerton, left <£200, widow Mary

He was actually buried Doddleston on 24/12/1804. but unfortunately no age given!, but with the note 'copy to the registers office May 4 1805 '- FMP

1816. Mary, 83, widow of Thomas Youde, farmer, was buried 7/10/1816 Hawarden - this almost certainly his mother -FMP

1838. John Youde , 70, of Higher Kinnerton, was buried Doddleston, Cheshire on 7/2/1838 - FMP

1855. Maybe his widow Mary Youde dies, aged 83, buried 17/12/1855 in Doddleston, Cheshire -FMP, thus born ~1772- a long way out from her 1779 baptism and age on her mc. So, unlikely she
