1898. Elizabeth Steel born to James Steel and Elizabeth Cumming -name of these parents comes from her 1922 mc. She does have a brother James and a grandfather James- could she have forgotton/mistaken her father's name ?. Buying her b.c. from SP might enlighten me!!
